With a coastline that fronts Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, Virginia’s beaches have long been a favorite vacation destination for Americans. There is something for every member of the family in Virginia, and one of the most famous vacation destinations is Virginia Beach. Drawn by the 3 mile Boardwalk, Virginia Beach provides visitors with numerous hotels and restaurants that overlook the beach. Other attractions include the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center and the Virginia Beach Oceanfront Waterpark.
For a visit to Eastern Shore, it is best to take a rental bus to best travel this extensive stretch of Virginia Coast. Eastern Shore is connected to the mainland via the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. If your family includes toddlers, pay a visit to Cape Charles Beach. The shallow waters, soft sand and lack of waves makes this an ideal beach for families with very young children. For a bit of bird watching, visit the Kiptopeke State Park in October. You can watch migrating birds, and enjoy the Eastern Shore Birding Festival.
During the summer, trying arranging a visit using a rental bus to Chincoteague and Assateague. The Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge has over 14,000 acres of marshland, beaches, rivers and dunes. In July, the Chincoteague Pony Swim and Auction sees ponies rounded up and swum across the channel from Assateague to Chincoteague. Assateague National Seashore is one of the last undeveloped stretches of coastline and beach on the Eastern Shore, and boasts of unspoilt beaches and miles of cycling and hiking trails.
Just a 15 mile journey in your rental bus from Virginia Beach is Norfolk’s Ocean View Beach. This 8 mile stretch of beach fronts onto Chesapeake Bay. There are 4 city beaches that have lifeguard services during the summer. Visitors can rent various types of watercraft such as sailboats or jet skis. A good time to visit Ocean View Beach is in June, which coincides with Harborfest.
Less well known, but all the more pleasant for it, are Virginia’s River Beaches. These undiscovered gems dot the river tributaries along Chesapeake Bay, and include beaches, campsites, cabins and picnic areas. Go back in time in Virginia

With the Virginia General Assembly the oldest legislature in the Western Hemisphere, Virginia has been home to Americans for generations. In fact, although American modern history doesn’t go back that far, the first people are estimated to have arrived in Virginia over 12,000 years ago.
If you want to take a trip back in time and discover what Virginia was like in the 1700s during your charter bus group vacation, then you’re in luck. Book your party bus holiday getaway vehicle to Virginia from Bus Rental VA and we’ll take you back to the Claude Moore Colonial Farm where life in Colonial Virginia is recreated.
Every day, a small paid professional staff, supplemented by volunteers create living history by demonstrating how life, including field work, crafts, cooking, and other special activities was carried out back then. We bet the little kids are going to have an educationally-beneficial cultural shock during his tour bus trip here...but in a good way, of course!
The highlight of the year is the Market Fair, which is held on the third weekend of May, July, and October with long-time volunteers including the blacksmith, the cabinet maker, millinery, plants, toys, scriptorium, good ole puppet theater and, most importantly, the tavern and other townsfolk manning the stands all stay in character. The gathering and threshing of wheat and the preparation of the tobacco crop are annual events with a colonial Wassail, including the blessing of the orchard, held as the final event of the season, in mid-December. If there is time, get the charter bus driver to drive you around from one spot to another for those who are easily fatigued.
The farm is open to charter bus visitors (including school groups) Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00am to 4:30pm from April 1 to mid-December with an admission charge of $3 for adults or $2 for children applies. Membership which allows for free admission to the Farm and all 18th-Century events such as Farm Skills, Dairy Day, clothing workshops, salting fish, herbal remedies, dancing workshops, wheat harvest, tobacco harvest, pickling, the 18th-Century Wedding, Spinning and Dyeing Day, and a winter traditions workshop. Are also available.
So if you’re bored with what modern life has to offer and would like to go back in time to a time when life was simpler, then head on over to Claude Moore Colonial Farm, at Turkey Run Virginia with Bus Rental VA and enjoy the simple life.

The Art Side To Virginia

Amongst all the states and cities in the country, Virginia places near the bottom spot as far as art is concerned. Spending less than half of what an average American city will usually spend on developing arts and entertainment, people will usually consider Virginia as a state focused on history and culture instead. And yes, make no mistake about it, Virginia is BIG on its cultural heritage, as you will soon see as you explore Virginia with our bus rental.
VA, even with that said, this is not to say that there is absolutely nothing artistic to be found in Virginia because there are quite a fair number or parks, museums and organizations focused on works of humanity. One good example would be the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts or more popularly known as VMFA which is located in Richmond Virginia. We often tell our Bus Rental VA customers that the museums runs mostly on public funds, donations and endowments from willing individuals and companies. It is open for public most times of the day and admission is completely free of charge. That is what makes this museum a favorite hotspot for our bus rental VA customers...it is free and there are very gorgeous and mind-boggling things to see.
Another great place to fill your free time in Virginia with Bus Rental VA's charter bus rental services would be what we lovingly call the Wolf Trap which is a short endearing name for the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. Wolf Trap is located in Vienna, a nice little nook in the state. The park attracts people from all walks of life from all over the world because it is rich in providing visitors with natural and local entertainment. The park is also the first park in the country to ever be a park dedicated completely to performing arts – a favorite for Bus Rental VA.
Bus Rental VA also strongly recommends this art-related tourist hotspot - the Jiffy Lubr Live which was formerly known as Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Virginia. Plenty of space, loads of activities, events, shows and exhibitions. Ever since its opening, it has become the top choice for annual events, concerts and many other different performances.
Bus Rental VA is always looking for new ways to serve our bus rental Virginia customers. If you have suggestions and ideas, please do look us up and please check out the charter bus, party bus, mini bus, shuttle bus, passenger bus, coach bus, sleeper coaches that we have in our fleet. We look forward to hearing from you very soon.
